As mayor, Mike McGinn works to make Seattle a more liveable city. He refocused city spending to respond to community needs on youth and families. He doubled the Families and Education Levy and passed a successful library levy. He has fought for new transit investments, for open and effective government. He is dedicated to helping build safe, strong, healthy communities.

I am President of the Seattle City Council and I chair the Council’s Committee on Economic Resiliency and Regional Relations. We focus on economic prosperity in the city, historic preservation and relationships with other governments.

Councilmember Sally Bagshaw

I chair the Council’s Parks and Neighborhoods Committee. We work to connect individuals with resources and programs to help make neighborhoods safe, green and connected.

Councilmember Tim Burgess

I chair the Council’s Government Performance and Finance Committee that focuses on the City budget, ethics, education and government accountability. I’m a Seattle native and worked as a journalist, Seattle police officer, global anti-poverty worker and small business owner before joining the Council.

Councilmember Richard Conlin

I chair the Council’s Planning, Land Use and Sustainability Committee. We cover land use, urban design and neighborhood planning policies. My committee also oversees my other long-standing priorities such as food policy, emergency preparedness, and environmental sustainability.

I chair the Council’s Libraries, Utilities, and Center Committee as well as the Council’s Waterfront Committee. Before serving on the Council, I was a columnist and chronicler of Seattle life for many years at both Seattle daily newspapers.

I chair the Council’s Housing, Human Services, Health and Culture Committee. We focus on homelessness, child care, aging, disability services, housing policies and programs, local and regional public health, arts and culture activities, nightlife issues and public access television.

I chair the Energy and Environment Committee and am committed to working with Seattle's diverse and vibrant communities to build a Seattle that works for our people and our environment. I live in Fremont with my wife and two kids.

Councilmember Tom Rasmussen

I chair the Transportation Committee and am working to improve our quality of life through investments in our roads and bridges and public transit and by creating a comprehensive freight, pedestrian and bicycle network.

City Attorney Pete Holmes

Pete Holmes
I supervise all litigation involving the City and am the chief prosecutor in Seattle Municipal Court, which has purview over simple and gross misdemeanors and civil matters such as land use issues.
