Fire Performance

Additional fire and life safety conditions are required for Fire Performance Art permit holders (permit codes 1102 and/or 2511).

Automatic Fire Sprinkler System

A fire performance art venue's interior must be protected by an approved automatic fire sprinkler system and have a minimum 12-foot ceiling height. Approval will be dependent upon design, height and materials of the ceiling. 

Fire Performance Event Notification Form

Customers with a 2511 or 1102 Open Flame/Flame Effects permit will be required to complete and submit the Fire Performance Event Notification Form to the Special Events Unit no later than five business days before any event covered by the permit.

Liability Insurance

The permit holder will also be required to maintain "Commercial General Liability" insurance coverage with a minimum limit of liability of $1,000,000 combined single limit per occurrence of bodily injury and property damage subject to no deductible. Evidence of insurance coverage shall be provided to the City of Seattle Office of Risk Management prior to permit renewal/application. When the City of Seattle Office of Risk Management has reviewed and approved the ACORD Certificate of Liability Insurance, a copy of this approval must be forwarded to the Fire Prevention Division as part of the permit application process.
