BOEF Current Recipients

The Seattle Office of Labor Standards' Business Outreach and Education Fund (BOEF) facilitates assistance and outreach to small businesses owned by low-income and historically disenfranchised communities, who typically are not served by traditional outreach methods, to increase awareness and compliance with Seattle's labor standards.

The BOEF is designed to build a culture of compliance by:

  • Increasing knowledge of and compliance with Seattle's labor standards.
  • Developing new partnerships and building capacity among community organizations to serve as ongoing resources for information and compliance assistance.
  • Building trust and collaboration between OLS, the business community, and business organizations serving the business community.
