About
The grassy non-lifeguarded beach is surrounded by an old stone wall, which marked the shoreline before 1917 when the lake level was lowered nine feet by the construction of the Lake Washington Ship Canal. Current Project
Denny Blaine Play Area
Please join us for our community meeting on Wednesday, December 6 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Martin Luther King FAME Community Center, 3201 E. Republican St to learn more about the Denny Blaine Park Play Area project.
In order to address the current gap for play areas in the neighborhood, a small play area will be built in the northwest part of Denny Blaine Park.
A small play area is proposed to be studied, designed and built to serve the current deficit of public play areas in the Denny Blaine and surrounding neighborhood.
Budget
$550,000 for construction costs and contingencies

Community Engagement and Early Design: Fall 2023
Final Design: Winter 2024
Permitting: Winter/Spring 2024
Construction: Late Summer/early Fall 2024
